How to use
- Open a model from your Dashboard
- Click Process to open the actions menu
- Select Change Format
- Pick your target format
- The converted file appears on your model page
Format Conversion is available as a model action from the 3D AI Studio Dashboard.
Credits
Each conversion costs 1 credit. The original model is preserved and the new format is added as a separate download on your model page.

Can I convert a GLB file to FBX online for free?
3D AI Studio’s Format Conversion tool handles GLB to FBX conversions with one click for just 1 credit. Upload or generate your model, click Process, select Change Format, and pick FBX. The converted file appears on your model page alongside the original.
Which 3D file format should I choose?
It depends on where the model is going. Use FBX for game engines like Unity or Unreal, OBJ for broad compatibility with modeling software, STL for single-color 3D printing, USDZ for Apple AR Quick Look, and 3MF for multi-color 3D printing. 3D AI Studio supports all seven major formats so you can convert between them as needed.
Does format conversion change the quality of my model?
No, converting between formats in 3D AI Studio preserves the original mesh geometry and textures. The tool repacks the data into the new format without reducing quality. If you also need to reduce poly count or optimize the mesh, use the separate Remesh tool before or after converting.
Can I convert multiple models at once?
Currently, 3D AI Studio processes one format conversion at a time from the Dashboard. Each conversion takes just a few seconds and costs 1 credit, so batch workflows are still fast. Select a model, convert it, then move on to the next one.
