Managing Connections

See every AI assistant connected to your 3D AI Studio account, what it spent and what each status badge means, then fix or disconnect connections at any time.

Updated October 2026

Every assistant you connect shows up in your 3D AI Studio settings. From there you can see what each one has done, fix connections that need attention, and disconnect any of them instantly.

Open it: Settings → AI Assistants (MCP)

The AI Assistants (MCP) settings page

The page has three parts:

  1. About the connector: what assistants can do with 3D AI Studio, and an example prompt.
  2. Get connected: the connector URL with a Copy button, and short setup steps for Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and Claude Code, Codex, and OpenCode.
  3. Connected Apps: every assistant currently connected to your account.

On a free plan, the connector URL is shown with an upgrade button, because the connector is part of the paid plans.

Connected Apps

Each connected assistant is listed with:

DetailMeaning
NameThe assistant that connected, for example Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or Codex
Team badgeShown when the connection spends a team's credits instead of your personal credits
Status badgeShown only when the connection needs attention (see below)
Last used"Used today", "Used 3 days ago", or "Never used"
Tool callsHow many actions the assistant has run through 3D AI Studio
Credits spentHow many credits this connection has spent in total
DisconnectRemoves the assistant's access immediately

Each connection is one app on one account. Desktop and terminal tools sometimes register separately per installation, so the same tool can appear more than once. That is normal; disconnect the ones you no longer use.

Status badges and how to fix them

Most connections never show a badge. When one appears, the settings page also shows a short hint with the fix, and for terminal tools a command you can copy.

BadgeWhat it meansHow to fix it
Sign in againThe assistant's sign in has ended (for example after disconnecting, a long break, or a sign out everywhere)Chat apps: open the assistant's connector settings and connect 3D AI Studio again. Codex: run codex mcp login 3daistudio. OpenCode: run opencode mcp auth 3daistudio. Claude Code: run /mcp inside Claude Code, pick the 3D AI Studio server and choose Authenticate
Restart neededOne of the assistant's windows or sessions is still using an old sign in. The connection itself is fineClose all running sessions of that assistant and start a new one (for chat apps, restart the app)
Plan requiredYour account no longer has an active paid planUpgrade with the View plans button. The connection works again afterwards
Team access lostThe connection spends credits from a team you are no longer part ofDisconnect it, then connect the assistant again and pick a new credit source

If you named the server something other than 3daistudio in a terminal tool, use your own name in the commands.

Disconnecting an assistant

Click Disconnect next to the assistant in Connected Apps.

  • Access ends immediately. Every credential that assistant held is deleted, so its next request fails.
  • Your models, images and projects are not affected. Everything the assistant created stays in your dashboard.
  • To use the assistant again later, simply connect it again.

You can also remove the server from the assistant's own settings (for example claude mcp remove 3daistudio in Claude Code). That only removes it from the assistant. To be sure the access is gone, also disconnect it in 3D AI Studio.

Sign out everywhere also disconnects assistants. Using Sign out of all devices in Settings → Security ends every login session and disconnects every connected assistant at once. Use it if you think someone else has access to your account.

Switching between personal and team credits

The credit source is chosen when you connect. To change it:

  1. Disconnect the assistant in Connected Apps.
  2. Connect it again from the assistant.
  3. On the sign in page, choose the other option under Use credits from.
